Buckboard was started over 30 years ago as a local catering company to create memories of special events filled with joy, laughter and great food. Buckboard’s Barbecue and Brew restaurant was developed after catering thousands of successful events across San Diego.
Fadi Shihadeh created a vision so everyone could have the same experience as those of our larger parties. He is passionate about bringing the Buckboard experience to the local community and feels the best memories are made when gathered around the table.
Chef Misael learned the traits of culinary excellence at the age of 9 while growing up cooking full meals for his family after school every day. With over 10 years of professional experience, Misa brings his approach of “every plate should always be better than the last” to Buckboard’s. From being a line cook to becoming one of the top chefs at Saddle Peak Lodge, a Michelin-caliber kitchen in Calabasas, CA, Misa is one of the most diverse chefs we have.
